| Hi All,
This is probably really basic, but...
With a frameset, I have given a title to each individual frame, but there
doesn't seem to be a way in the DW 2004 interface to give a title to the entire
frameset. When I test and publish, the page comes up as untitled.
Any suggestions?

title that window.
repeat the menu choice to toggle back to regular frames editing.

| D'oh!
Are frames that bad?!?! I thought they had their time and place. I'm really
torn about having to change 20 pages just to add a new nav button, instead of
changing 1 page.
I'm pretty sure that CSS and Templates offer a better alternative than frames
that also partially addresses my concerns here, but my learning curve is so
high on so many different development topics, even as my colleague is drumming
up new complex jobs lol.
Thanks
Bill

Library items, Templates, or server-side includes will mend that tear.
There is no better help for you ascending your learning curve than the folks
here....

There is a very long and steep learning curve to climb before you can
use frames effectively. You'll be much further ahead if you climb the
CSS/SSI/Template direction than going down the frames dead end.

| So am I correct to assume that with a template, you could alter the template
page and that would push to all the pages you designed using that template page
in the first place? So if you were to add a button to your navigation buttons,
rather than editing 20 pages, you could edit the template page, and then all 20
pages that use that template will adopt the change?
Any tutorial recomendations? Thanks
Bil

Yes. Assuming that you made the change to content in a NON-Editable region
in the Template. Such changes are propagated to all child pages.

DW's F1 help. MM's Technotes. Also, here -
