*Newbie* data capture question
|
|
|
| Hi There,
Is there a simple and effective way of collected a users email address when
they visit a specific HTML page? (Without causing issues with infringement
of privacy).
We already have a webstats account but it only collates IP addresses or
server names. I've had a good look through the web about Cookies and such,
but I can't seem to find a quick and easy 'non programmer' solution. Is it
much more involved than at first thought?
Kind regards
Will

There is not even a complex and ineffective way to do this, thankfully.

Amen brother! What I find interesting is that the question seemed to
anticipate that collecting someone's email address (without the user
freely giving it) *could* in any way be considered not an
infringement of privacy.

| Yep. I have found that such 'forebodings' are usually accurate.... 8)
