Hi Every 1, first time post here....I understand how to create forms in DW
but I am not sure how to make them work. Any ideas on how or where I can
learn more about making forms work? I am a rookie web designer; I can build
only basic but good looking sites. I really want to learn more about data
basing as well, but not sure where to start. I want to be able to have a
member's only page where they need to get user name and password to log
in.....Any ideas on where I begin to learn???

Thanks

Jo

This is a HUGE area to try and cover somewhere like this. It depends very
much on what you want to do and how you want to achieve it.

You also need to consider what you're going to do with hosting. Can you run
something like PHPMyAdmin? This makes setting up databases and tables much
easier. Then you need to get to grips with running dynamic sites with
Dreamweaver. I started down this route in February this year. I had very,
very minor experience of PHP. I've now written a content management system,
a news and events system, a newsletter system, a shopping cart, all sorts of
things. 90% by just using the built in functions of DW, maybe with a few
extensions, and the rest by reading and learning PHP to get the bits that DW
won't do sorted. Things like date manipulation can be problematic but it's
just a case of playing until it clicks.
