Check Out Not Happening

| I have a situation where a web author on one of the sites I maintain is
over-writing files with copies from her local. When I check the logs I can see
that there is a write but no preceding LCK, however, her copy of DWMX 2004 is
set to "Check Out Files When Opening".
Has anyone else experienced this?
My gut feeling is that it's something she's doing, but she's pretty competent
and her client seems to be set up correctly.
I'm at a loss.
TIA,
Aaron

| I have a similar problem in that I have "Check Out Files When Opening" checked,
however, it doesn't checkout the files! Does anyone else have a similar
problem? I'm on Mac OS 10.3 with DWMX 2004.
Thanks!

| I can't find the parent to this post. You wanna describe your symptoms
again, please? Can you give me an example of code on a page where the files
are not checked out?

| I don't have an example of code that could show it as I believe it is handled
by Dreamweaver.
I manage a site for a client. The client makes simple text changes on a
regular basis. They have us do template changes, etc. When I make template
changes, I would like Dreamweaver to automatically check-out the files from the
live server. That way I don't have to do a "syncronize" in the beginning. I
have the option "Check out files when opening" checked in the site management
section, but it never checkes out the files?
I did have this working on Dreamweaver MX on the PC, but I moved to a Mac OS
10.3 computer with MX2004, and it doesn't seem to work.
TIA!

This is not how DW works, but it's a good suggestion for future versions.
Please send it to the team - http://www.macromedia.com/go/wish/
> I did have this working on Dreamweaver MX on the PC,
I don't think so. DW has never worked this way.
