Dreamweaver - .asp files making Dreamweaver Crash

.asp files making Dreamweaver Crash

I am able to upload html files to my server using dreamweaver 4,
when my friend puts asp files on the server using dreamweaver mx, i cannot
upload files using dreamweaver.

what is going on? is there a setting i need to change?
