library items and templates

| Hi
Im redeveloping a large site using templates and also using library items for
the footer, main navigation and areas that may change throughout the site life
cycle, however I have just updated the navigation library item ( adding a text
link) which has changed throughout the site and templates, but has caused the
main design to jump completely out of place! The navigation is now placed in
the middle of the page rather than on the left hand side, any ideas anyone!
thanks in advance

| This is not a template/Library item issue. It is a page layout method
issue. To say more, I'd need to see the code on the page.
Also, your use of Library items in this scenario sounds flawed. Put all
your navigation into the template's non-editable region unless you have a
good reason not to. I avoid using Library items with Templates as much as I
can.
