Author Help ! Images are shifting in Netscape 6

Hi there,

I (fanatic european user) am working on a website for which I created 3
separate tables below each other. The one above (small) is used as a header,
the one in the middle (large) for content and the one below (small) as a
disclaimerrule.
The table in the middle has been divided in 26 different cell's via the
'layout' option in Dreamweaver MX (border=0, spacing&padding=0). In all these
cells, I put images which all together form 1 huge (background) image. 9 images
of the 26, are filled with roll-over-images which have a nav-function. The
cells have the same size as the images.

The problem I have is as follows:

In IE, everything looks great, but if I do the test in Netscape 6.2.3, all
separate images have a whitespace in between. This causes my complete layout to
screw up. It looks terrible. I don't know how to solve this problem. Tablewith
is fixed at 755 and tablealignment is 'center'

My site needs to work in Netscape for compatibility reasons! Thanks for all
your suggestions !

Best regards,

Niels from the Netherlands

would be easier to see the page or HTMl, but in the meantime, have you tired
the netscape resize fix, which you can access from:
Command > 'Add/remove Netscape Resize Fix...'
Also, depending on familiarity with CSS, it is possible to control
padding/margin to '0' on the IMG tag itself.
The way browsers render content differnt ly cna be a real pain.
Good luck

Show me your code please. Generally speaking, your problem is not different
from most others who use Layout mode to build pages, and it's why you always
see people here saying "never use Layout Mode"!

That won't help at all. It's specifically intended to help NN4x reflow the
page when the brower window is resized, and the page has a/p divisions on
it. In other words it's only value is when used on pages containing a/p
elements ('layers') and you need to support NN4x.

In IE it works. Please check Netscape or sourcecode.
Obviously page isn't ready at all.

Thx.
