Hi,
I have a website with a menu on the left that is made of the items in a SQL
table. In the middle of the page several news items are shown (also from a SQL
table).

I would like to see that the menu on the left has a different background
colour, but because the news items in the middle are mostly big the layout
table of the menu doesn't reached the bottom black bar.

How can i solve this, so that the menu on the left has a different background
colour all the way to the bottom black bar. Even when the news items in the
middle are short or large??

Please help/advise..

At the moment, I don't see any colour declared for either your menu cell or
the main content cell.

You can use css to declare a background color or image for any of your
cells....
