CSS info and a site check please.

| Hi all,
I would like to learn about CSS.
Is there a tutorial that someone can point me towards that is easy to read
and not written for a fully fledged website creator that only understands
all the high tech terminologies that most tutorials offer.
I give up on most tutorials simply because I dont understand what they are
on about, due to the professor style ramblings.
Also could someone do a site check for me on http://www.steeppoint.com.au
and let me know how to optimize it a little...or maybe it needs a lot..
Thanks in advance...Phil

| Ok, first thing I notice is: <table width="1024" border="0" cellpadding="5"
cellspacing="0">
and the second is: <!--DWLayoutTable-->
First lesson is to get out of laout mode and into design/code view.
The width of your table gives a horizontal scroll bar if a browser window is
sized smaller than that width..
You have a lot of font tags that can be easily replaced with css - which I
think is what you are after.
First link to check out would be a a tutorial on building a flexible table
layout - so that it doesn't matter what size the browser window is:
http://www.dwfaq.com/Tutorials/Tabl...ible_tables.asp
For your first css lesson, you may like this one which teaches you how to
use a table layout and use css to style the various elements:

PS: You haven't declared a page background colour either - so I see a lot
of hot pink on your pages :-)
Hope this helps.
