I have Dreamweaver MX 2004 ver 7.0 and I am able to integrate PHP into it
beautifully however, after the instalation of SP2 for XP I am unable to set
dynamic attributes as this relys on my connection to my mysql Database which I
am not able to connect to. When i try to show the tables in the Database I get
the word None and sometimes a Unidetified Error Message.

I have added Dreamweaver to the Exception List of my Firewall and still
nothing I have also tried to turn the firewall off and that to does not work.
Is there something I need to do to make this work with the SP2 for XP

SP2 installs Microsoft MDAC 2.8

This breaks Dreamweaver's database connectivity wizards.

I use ASP.NET and have the same issues reported for PHP.

1. When trying to create an OleDB connection, the "Build..." button
does nothing.
2. If connection is manually created, a "Unspecified Error" occurs.
3. Trying to view the tables of any database shows "no tables"
4. Trying to create a dataset give "***No Tables Found"
5. Because of this no pages can be created or updated with dynamic
content, though pages created before MDAC 2.8 work fine on the server

If MDAC 2.8 is installed by itself - same problems.
Once MDAC 2.8 is installed, it cannot be uninstalled.

Luckily, SP2 can be uninstalled which for me fixed all the problems.

I have been unable to find any MacroMedia mention of this "emerging
issue"
