| Granted, I am 2 days into web design, so please be patient with me. Your advice
and help will be most appreciated.
I've obtained a website. I've used Dreamweaver to create a Home Page. It
uploads via ftp correctly. The problem is that I cannot get the page to come up
when I enter the web address. Also, the "Preview In Browser" fails to read the
page. Oddly, the page can be read by my browser at my workplace.
The page is saved as "index.htm" along with related files.
Can anyone give me a solution, some insight or perhaps direction as to where
to look for solution.
Thanks.

| somewhere in the windows control panel, i can't remember where, is a setting for the default browser you may not have IE as your default on the system that's misbehaving. that's only a guess

| it would be helpful to know for the path where there new homepage should be.
i.e. http://www.mywebsite.com/index.htm
Secondly, to troubelshoot why the preview in browser isn't functioning
properly, it would be useful to use the 'attach' code option in this forum of
the home page in question. Copy and paste all html from within 'code view' and
I can see if I can preview diretly form the code itself.
Finally, which version of DW are you using?
