Dreamweaver - help me plz

ok i finialy got dreamweaver and i got a template and i opened it and loaded it
but then when i type stuff go to preview and i click yes on save changes nothin
changes nonem o0f my writing is there plz help

Are you making these changes in an editable area of your template file? If
so, those changes will not be made on the child-pages. If not, please
provide a link to your Template and to a child-page made from that template.

Are you making these changes to the TEMPLATE file? Or are you making them
to a CHILD page from the template file? And when you say "TEMPLATE" are you
referring to a Dreamweaver Template, or to a generic template in the sense
of an ordinary HTML file that just contains the basic layout?
