Dreamweaver - image transparancy

I have a problem, I created an image in fireworks which is slightly
transparent, which sits on top of a background image, so you are able to see
the background image, but when I export the image to DW the image is no longer
transparent and you are not able to see the background image behind it. Any
Ideas how to keep the image transparent so you can see the background image

Slightly transparent? GIF or PNG?

If PNG, then IE doesn't support PNG transparency, and neither does DW.

Dave,

Did you try simply clicking the "edit in FW" buttons, fixing the transparency, and the clicking "done" in FW to update DW?
