Hi all!

Ive a problem with mx7.01.

About every 30 seconds it hangs for about 5 seconds, sometimes a little
longer. There's no indication of what it's doing. It started this morning. I've
tried rebooting, installing ALL the updates from everywhere and checking the
event logs, there's nothing to say what could be happening.

I'm running Win2k sp4 with the novel client version 4.90.2.20040617.

Any help's appreciated.

Rocket-is the 'stalling' coming from your site refreshing the local files
automatically? I had similar symptoms so I unchecked that box under
Site-Manage Site-Edit-Uncheck "Refresh local file list automatically"...

Nope - I've just been talking to Microsoft.

I noticed something going amiss with the plug and play controller in the event
logs. Aparently there's a bug in a security patch they released recently that
causes full processor usage to become unavailable - it messes your machine up,
basically. What's more, although they've known about this for about a month
now, they've not released a patch. They will, however, give you a work round if
you're willing to pay ?120 for it!

I've found several other graphic heavy packages that have the same problem
since they said it would cause problems for those types of programs.

At the moment I'm considering removing the security patch. If anyone wants to
give Microsoft ?120 for the work around, let me know what they say ;o)
