Dreamweaver - Table Cells Shifting...help?

Table Cells Shifting...help?

Hi,

I'm a web design newbie and am working on a site in Dreamweaver using some
fireworks graphic files. I have created table cells and am wondering if there
is a way to get the cells to 'lock' in place so that the image area stays the
size that I'm designing in instead of expanding. When I expand the page the
entire page expands with it. I'm using a row ofimages on the page that don't
expand...just pull away from the page.

Also, the borders of the page seem to shift at random.

It feels like there should be a function somewhere that just allows me to snap
the page to my margins and have it stay in place.

I would certainly appreciate any advice!

That's the nature of tables.... they stretch and contract depending on the
content.
Are these images part of a navigation system? If so, you may need to look
at nesting tables.
