| I'm having som problems with figuring out Dreamweaver, and was wondering if
someone could lend me a hand....

I have been told that to make a site upload quicker you should cut it up in
pieces. I'm not shur if this is a bunch of BS but it did lead to some problems.
What I did was to cut up the BG into three pieces (as shown) hoping that this
would help. What happened was that I wasn't able to figure out how to get all
the pieces to be recognized as a BG. I also hoped that by cutting up the BG,
that I could add a extra piece if my text became really long....All I did was
to add the BG as an image...
If anybody could explain a noob how this works I would be very grateful.

I also wanted to add the header and content box later on so the upload would
be quicker, but when I added them they would just end up between the BG that I
put in (pretty shure it has to do with me messing up the BG).
If someone could explain how to do this I would really be grateful...

Surely you mean download?

That's more wrong than it's right.

You can only have a single background image on any given 'thing', like your
page.
And, there's no way to make an 800 pound gorilla behave like anything other
than an 800 pound gorilla.
How big is your background image? If it's the one you have linked, it looks
close to 800 pounds (~95K).
Your target weight for the page is 40-45K total (including code, images,
externally linked files, etc.).
