Author 1px dotted css border?

I'd like to have a 1px dotted border on a column but am having no success!
I'm trying to do it via CSS on DWMX. I get a border but it's solid and not
dotted... Perhaps a 'talk-thorough' would help me?! My CSS skills are on par
with my ability to perform brain surgery with lollipop sticks!!
