Dreamweaver - Expand/Collapse Disconnection

Expand/Collapse Disconnection

Hello.

I have searched Macromedia.com endlessly about this problem and I have turned
up zero results.
I have Dreamweaver MX 2004 (Educational if it matters). Here's my problem:

When I've connected to a server and I click the "expand/collapse" button,
Dreamweaver automatically disconnects me from my server. I have no idea why it
does this but if i'm trying to work between the expanded and collapsed views, I
must constantly reconnect to the server each time I do this.

I have updated Dreamweaver to its latest version, so as far as updating I am
as far as I can go.

Has anyone else ever had this problem? Is there any fix to this? I find it
amazing that I can not find any topics on this bug anyhwere in the forums,
release notes, nothing. I would appreciate any help anyone might be able to
provide.

The expand collapse button? For the File panel? For a folder? Where?

What are you clicking on - the icon to expand the files panel, or a plus
sign to expand a folder?

Anyhow, your symptom of disconnecting can't possibly be related to this.
Does it happen EVERY time? Are you showing the local site or the remote
site in the files panel? What happens when you expand the files panel
before connecting?

I recommend you contact Macromedia directly and use one of your one-on-one
support incidents.

I'm referring to the "Expand/Collapse" button on the files panel that allows
you to go from the full remote/local view to the single view of either remote
or local. This only happens when I'm already connected and if the files panel
is in the "collapsed" view, I can be in either remote or local view and it
makes no difference.

For example, say I connect to my server by clicking on the little "connect"
button on the files panel WHILE the panel is collapsed. Then, I click the
expand/collapse button to expand to the full window of both my local
directories and the remote directories. Dreamweaver then expands to the full
view and disconnects from the server. If I reconnect to the server, then click
on the expand/collapse button again to switch to the single view of either
remote or local, it disconnects again. I have no problems uploading/downloading
files etc. Just when I change views, DW disconnects me from the server.
