Yesterday, I posted a question about keywords and I got a reply that keywords
don't work the way they used too! That search engines don't really look for
these? I was wondering what is the latest thing that search engines are looking
for?

That's very informative! Thanks for your reply!

Content and semantic markup are at the top of the food chain for SE's.

You can specify any keywords you want on a web page. It's much harder to
spoof content!

As for semantic markup, I believe the order of precedence (if there is any)
is roughly <title>, <h#>, alt/title attributes, outgoing links, content,
etc. SE's look for the occurrence of site specific content/keywords (those
that *it* compiles, not the ones you do) in each of those locations....

Paragragh and header tags mostly...

<p></p>
<h1></h1>
<h2></h2>
<h3></h3>
<h4></h4>
<h5></h5>
<h6></h6>

And they find <a> tags for links make sure you dont use javascript menus since
search engines don't scan it... you should still include meta tags though.
