Template/Directory Issues

| Hello,
I've been using Templates for about a year now, but I have a cllient who is
very concerned with organizational structure in the site so it will be easy to
find what they want to edit after I move on. This brings the problem I'm
having...
The structure so far:
site/webct/index.htm
site/webct/demos/chat.htm
Now I have two templates, one for the webct/index.htm page, and one for the
demos/chat.htm page. If I used the same template for both (which I tried), I
have links to the main directory (site/).
So I made two templates. The "webct/index.htm" one has links like
"../webct/contact.htm" because the template is housed in that "Template"
folder. Common sense told me that the other template for "webct/demos/chat.htm"
should say "../../webct/contact.htm" (because they're linking to the same
page).
Now it seems that the first ../ is being ignored because from the template
folder there is only one directory to go down, but in the demos folder there is
two. When I apply the template, the first ../ is ignored and all links are
broken. I'm not sure if I explained the problem 100%, but if anyone can help,
I'd appreciate it. This is the first trouble I've had with templates, otherwise
they're great.

| Templates can manage your links. Don't try to outthink them (which is what
you are doing now). Make the links by browsing to the target files, and let
DW take care of the rest.

| Darn you Murray!
I did that the first time, but as part of my vow to try whatever the forum
guys say, I did it again and it works fine. I couldn't tell you how, but that's
not my place. I'm no programmer. Thanks for your logical help though!

| So - are you saying that allowing DW to manage the links *is* working for
you now?
