Author activex... help!
the nature of clockwork

2004-08-08, 12:14 pm

i was wondering if anyone can offer me any support. i have been trying to play
a short audio track upon the opening of my website. i followed an online guide
and found that not only did it not work, but that my activeX controls have
changed. Now i cannot access a large number of sites (or preview elements of my
own) with IE, receiving the message:

"an activex control on this page may be unsafe to interact with other parts of
this page...." and:
"this page provides potentially unsafe information to an activex control. your
current security settings prohibit running controls in this manner..."

if anyone knows how to re-adjust these controls to how they should be (and how
to do my audio task) then i would be most appreciative.
thanks!
