Cache Problems when I Copy & Paste a file
|

| I've been trhough this before, but don't seem to remember how to solve the
problem.
I copied an image file from the root/images folder of a site that I have
already built. I pasted the file in the images folder of another site that I'm
building. Both of these sites have different root folders. Both sites have
check marks on CACHE CONTENT ENABLED.
Now, I can't even start Dreamweaver; I get:
Dreamweaver has encountered fatal exception. Dreamweaver will terminate.
After a bunch of Ctrl Alt Delete's and several reboots I was able to delete
the copy&pasted file, but I still can't start Dreamweaver.
I think the problem would be solved if I just deleted the whole new site (from
the root folder). Does anyone have any suggestions as far as copying and
pasting of files/documents, and/or starting Dreamweaver again? Should I disable
cache in Dreamweaver if I want to copy and paste file in another directory?
I've had the same problem in the past; how do I get around this cache problem?
Thanks.

| Your site cache is saved here (on WXPPro) -
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
MX 2004\Configuration\SiteCache
You can delete the offending site cache folders, and the next time you open
these sites, DW will recreate them.
Give that a try....
