"and I find it really hard to come up with anything original in DreamWeaver"

Are you able to come up with anything original in some other software?..

Are you able to DRAW something original?

(I'm just trying to find out where the problem lies.)

I never come up with anything in DW. I always use a vector program like
CorelDraw and then recreate elements in photoshop and use them in DW where I
create the overall infrastructure. I couldn't imagine trying to initially
create anything in DW.

You can even create something on paper first.

In addition to what they said, it also helps to look at other professional
sites for inspiration. Not to "rip off"...but to mimic.
