Dear All,
I can see my replies but not my new posts, most bizarre ... so attempt #3
(sorry for reptitions).

Anyone know of any good extensions, notes etc on making/utilising a search
engine for a site?
Site is a mixture of html and a mysql db.

Thanks
Craig

Atomz search:
http://www.atomz.com/

It's free or small sites and reasonable for sites that take lots of hits and
that might make heavy use of the service.

Even the free product is highly customizable and they provide basic reports
every week, detailing the top search terms. They only require a small logo
link on the results page that says "Powered by Atomz". Done right, it looks
like the rest of your site. To see how I customized it on one of my sites,
go to:

http://www.ActionAmerica.org/

I have used it on several sites and I'm very pleased with it.

Google also offers a search facility like the Atmoz search.
I don't have the link handy, but it is on the Google site somewhere :-)

I use Atmoz on a couple of sites and it works well - even on an asp page, so
I'm guessing it should work with a mysql db.
