Frameset shows wrong frameset !

| This must be a configuration issue. I have a frameset which is made up of
three frames. One of the individual frames is itself a frameset made up of two
frames. The frames pass parameters one to another. In Cold Fusion Studio 5
the code shows up fine. Each frameset appears perfectly, and the pages do
their job in production with no problems whatsoever. In Dreamweaver MX, on the
other hand, when I ask the top frameset (the three-parter) to display in code,
what actually shows up is the two parter, which of course is a completely
different page! When I ask the two parter to display in code, it shows up
also. In both cases the code is corrupted, so of course I can't do anything
with it, as Studio 5 shows that the code is fine. What have I mis-set in
Dreamweaver? (P.S.: "Don't use frames" is not an answer. If that is your
response, please don't bother to reply.)

| I'm curious. Why is don't use frames not an answer? It's very good advice.
I am not aware of *any* settings in DW that would affect how complex
framesets like that would be displayed.

I have my framesets opened in NotePad.

| Thank you Thierry. At least telling me DW can't be trusted to handle frames is something to go on. The other so-called responees were just using my posting to engage in sophmoric chat.

| Actually, they were more than that. It was an honest and sincere attempt to
cajole you into taking an objective examination of your decision to use
frames. The benefits of frames are usually more than outweighed by the
disadvantages.
