Centering Framesets?
|
|
| glennInATL 2004-06-14, 12:22 pm |
| Does anyone know how to Center a frameset? In preview, it aligns to the left
of IE. I have three frames (top Banner, left Navigation, and right Main) where
the frameset is called Index.html. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

| Use a letterbox frameset arrangement (numbers represent frames) -
1122222233
1122222233
1144555533
1144555533
1144555533
Make frames 1 and 3 be completely flexible, and 2, 4, and 5 be fixed width.

| Can you explain this a little bit further for me? What exactly am I to do with these numbers? P.S. I'm good at Flash, but don't dive into Dreamweaver that much. Thanx!!

| Each number represents a different frame. The arrangement I depicted was a
nested frameset containing 5 frames, e.g.,
<frameset cols="3" rows="1"...
<frame #1
<frameset cols="1" rows="2"
<frame #2
<frameset cols="2" rows="1"
<frame #4
<frame #5
</frameset>
</frameset>
<frame #3
</frameset>
If this is not understandable, then you have no business using frames. I'm
not saying that to be sarcastic or mean, but the use of frames is not a
no-brainer.

| Thanks for taking the time to explain it; I do appreciate it. I'm one to try and learn, so I'll make it my business. Thanks again!
