Need help with forms and database
|
|
|
| Hello,
I have Dreamweaver MX and have 2 questions. I would like to know where I can
find information on how to make forms work. What I mean is, I can build the
form, but I have no idea how to send the form to where it should go on my
server.
Second question, I have a little HTML online store that has grown to over 500
items , with at least 700 more items to add. I would like to build a database
so that I can up date prices without going to each page by hand. I do want to
keep my HTML layout, don't want all that dynamic stuff.
Is there information on these 2 subjects ? Do I need some other software ?
Thank you

| Hello,
While for both answers there are solutions that imply you learning
how to code and doing manual programming work, I strongly suggest you to
get some Dreamweaver extensions to do the work for you.
1. manual code
- you learn php, you learn how to process a HTML form submit values in
your PHP page, and then you learn PHP and how you can query the product
database to show the information in your dynamic store
2. dreamweaver extensions
- you get our product MX Shop, together with MX Kart and NeXTensio, and
you have those products generate the code for you. You focus on your
business and get more money out of it. It's simple as daylight

Alternatively - you can search for "Dreamweaver e-commerce" on google,
there are also other companies doing this out there :)
