Deny Access Question
|
|
|
| Hi,
Is there a way to deny access to my website from a referral which uses
frames on their site to show mine? Was looking at redirecting them to
another site. I am not hosting the website so was looking for a script.

No, but you could use a short Javascript to break out of that frameset.

| Depends on the host and the type of server they're on. You might check the
"Bust Frames" extension from the Exchange. It will break a frame and open
your site in its own window. It's not a denial, but at least your not in
the context of their site.
Best regards,
Chris

Apart from Chris (very good) suggestion about FrameBuster, check with
your host if they can apply "HotLink Protection" or IP denial. The
former can stop the server from delivering any file type that isn't
requested from within your own domain. The latter will stop IPs from
accessing your site. Neither will probably do exactly what you want, but
might make life a bit more difficult for some hi-jackers.
