Is there a way of creating links that appear on your website that allow you to
navigate back to where you started ie:

home > area > products > item > description>blah

each one of the words above would be hyperlinked then all you ahve to do is
click to go back?

make sense?

ps: using dreamweaver mx and PHP mysql

Type the words. Link them.

Or are you wanting to do this automatically?

This is commonly refered to as "Breadcrumb" navigation. As Murray said,
you can just type them and link them if you're building a static site.
If you want them created dynamically, then it gets a lot more
complicated. For more info, I'd suggest googling "breadcrumb
navigation" plus whatever server technology you're using. (PHP, ASP, etc)
