|
|

| Hi Everyone:
I currently have on order the Dreamweaver mx2004 Bible. I tried to find a
book just on Dreamweaver mx 2004 and CSS. I didn't see any.
Does anyone have any recommendations for the best book they know of for
learning to develope Websites using Dreamweaver mx 2004 and CSS? (The more
indepth the presentation of how to use Dreamweaver to develop css is what I'm
looking for). Thanks, Matt

| I'm not aware of any specifically for Dreamweaver, but the good news is that
with DMX2004, the CSS support is good enough that any generic CSS book would
be good. Please review those by Eric Meyer - very readable, entertaining,
and informative.

Try here: http://www.lynda.com/books/hot/dw04hot/ - this is an
excellent book, with tutorials on the CD, and movie tutorials on the
CD in case you can't understand the book.

I started from scratch (DW4) with Lynda's book, and I found it very
helpful. However, you should be aware that (at least in that version),
she still devoted a chapter on using layout mode to create tables, which
is completely unusable (layout mode, not the tutorial, though of course,
logically, both are unusable), AND
.. . . recently Murray pointed out to me a fairly serious piece of
erratum in her MX tutorial on templates.
Having said that, Lynda's book was invaluable for me as a newbie!
