CSS and Design View Problems

| Hi Everyone!
I'm having some challenging problems with Design View and CSS
For your entertainment I've posted some screen shots and a description of
the problems here:
http://www.omniadynamics.net/problesm.htm (see I couldn't even spell it!)
Basically, in Design View my header text displays in the wrong place. But
it displays correctly in IE and Mozilla. So I scared that it won't display
correctly in an older version or something else like that.
The other problem is my main_content div sometimes decides to move down
under my Nav Bar and not sit nicely beside it. And I don't know why.
Any help is greatly appreciated. (BTW I uninstalled all of my DW-extensions,
because disabling them didn't help- neither did uninstalling them.)
And finally totally OT: I hate throwing out good stuff that I don't want
anymore. My local paper ran an article about Freecycle.org. Its a "give
your stuff that you don't want anymore to someone who wants it," site.
There are hundreds of local organizations all over the world. The cool
thing is the only rule is that the stuff has to be free, no money, no swaps
or bartering allowed. Check it out!
