Does anyone know exactly how to set-up e-invites? I'm realitivly comfortable
with Dreamweaver and Fireworks, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how
these are done?

Thanks

What is an "e-invite"
What functionality do you need?

What serverside scripting can you use on this host?

http://www.youngchurch.org/connect/...hurchinvite.php
is a good example of what we're looking to do - I'm good with all the graphic
design, but I just don't have any idea how to set it in this self-set-up,
self-sending format?

I think our server is open-ended on types of scripting? Is there something
specifically we're looking for? We're doing light java scripting on our page
now...

well, don't ask to borrow their code... I'm guessing there isn't any
validation to see if it has the needed info, because it just hangs if you
submit it with missing fields.

What scripting language can you use on the server-
ASP or PHP or Perl/cgi-bin or ?

Do you just want to send an email?
Or, do you want to send an html email with a graphic?

this can't be done client-side with JavaScript.

Also, if you look at http://hotscripts.com in a flavor you can use, there
are plenty of "tell a friend" scripts pre-written.

We have an account with ipowerweb, which offers support for PHP, Perl, and
CGI-BIN.

What we're looking to do is send an html email w/ a graphic.

Honestly, I set-up http://www.summittrace.com using Fireworks and Dreamweaver
- but I really don't know too much about scripts or writing code. We bought
Macromedia's Studio MX, so I also have Flash and Cold Fusion, but I haven't
used them much yet. I'm a real newbie at this stuff!

I want/need to learn this stuff, and I'm definately ready to learn, but this
maybe too much to explain via a forum.

I'm open to suggestions...

Thanks

Aaron

haven't used it, but looking at hotscripts.com turned up this one.
http://www.stadtaus.com/en/php_scri..._friend_script/

should be straightforward to get working.
