whenever I try to connect to my remote files I get a long wait with the message
server not responding. then a ftp error message: cannot get remote folder
information. dreamweaver could not connect because the server is down or not
accepting connections.
However when doing a test site all files load up correctly but when you link
them to my root folder files the problem reoccurs. the server is not down and
has been checked. there seems to be a communication problem involving my root
folder. I released GB's of information from my hard drive thinking this was a
memory issue which improved overall performance of my computer and applications
but didnt fix DW problem. I also downloaded update for dreamweaver but it didnt
help either. If anyone can help I would appreciate it as I cannot upload files
to the server....thanks! Annie

Did you try both passive and non-passive connections? Also, somewhere
there is a Dreamweaver FTP checker, either from MM or third-party. I
Googled and didn't see it, but it might help.
