Something odd is happening. I can no longer see any of my webpage. But if I
go to code view, I can see the html. However, there are somethings I have
not seen before.

Sample sentence: I couldn’t possibly

Did it always show ' as ’

What has happened? Why? How can I fix it?

Regards,

Jon

url address to the page?

it's likely something like an unclosed html comment, more likely it's
unclosed around a CSS style or a JavaScript function in the head section.

Ahh, your suggestion gave me an idea. There was </title><br> instead of
</title> and the <br> messed everything up.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

By the way, any idea why i have couldn’t instead of couldn't?

What you are seeing is the code for a real apostrophe (you must have
pasted this text from an application which creates true apostrophes and
DW did the encoding.) This character is not the same as ' which is a
foot mark, although it is often used as an apostrophe on web pages by
the typographically underinformed.

Did you copy it from Word or something? ’ is a "smart" apostrophe
rather than a normal apostrophe.
