Take a look at the Toggle Table extension at
http://www.yaromat.com/dw/?t=Command&r=All. It lets you toggle the table
borders on and off so you can see the table better to work with it. It's not
a zoom, but it might help you.

What exactly do you mean by zoom in. You should be able to increase the
font size if you having a hard time reading text in a table.

I don't have trouble reading the text. I mean like a zoom in feature like
fireworks so I can see the borders and other stuff that is really close
together. It is hard to see this kind of stuff if you have a high resolution.

Thanks for the replies.

One thing from within dreamweaver-

click on the Table tag, and set the cellspacing and cellpadding to 5 or 10
while working on it, then change back to previous settings. That allows you
space to select cells.
(that's similar to what "Expanded Tables" does in MX 2004)

A second thing in Dreamweaver- Get out of Layout Mode, if that's what you
are in. menu-->View-->Tables-->Regular table editing.

In your operating system- You could explore what accessibility options there
are- they might not be installed by default, but most os have a keyboard
shortcut controlled screen zoom feature

I sometimes change my monitor settings to 480x600 to get a closer view since
there is no zoom in or out feature. sometimes helps.

Or use the Toggle Table extension I mentioned above......it does this
automatically from a keyboard shortcut.

If you're in Windows, isn't there some sort of magnifier in the
accessibility section?

Click anywhere inside a table, and then click on <table> as shown on the
TagSelector. It's way easier than trying to click on a table's border.

Thanks, guys. I have been using the magnifyer that comes with windows. What
I needed to see was the borders on tables especally when they are right next to
each other. I am also using layout view if i need to get really close or if I
am having trouble selecting a table.

The main problem with me trying to see the borders closely is b/c I have
trouble selecting which table I want when they are right next to each other.

on easy way of doing this is to just click inside the table and then
look at the bottom left of your layout view window:
you should see a list of tags, like
<table><tr><td><p>
click on table
here we go
