Author asset help

I am taking over a SPRAWLING and somewhat disorganized site which has been in a
number of hands over the years. Apparently there are a number of files on the
server which are irrelevant and should be deleted. I am wondering if there is
some way I can find out where a file (a JPEG for instance) resides on a site? I
was looking at everything in the assets and thought it would be helpful to know
if some of the MANY files were not linked to any pages, or are linked to old
(hidden) pages on this site. Hope this makes sense. I can't imagine it is an
uncommon situation for a web person coming in after a site has been around for
awile. Thanks in advance.

haas:

I would start with a good site map.

This utility is quite good at that -
