can any one here help me out i have inserted the google search bar and when
configuring it, it gives the option to specify a url so when using google your
website appears at the top of the google search page.

My problem is i cannot get anything to show up here i get an image with a
cross in it what exactly do you type in on the configuration screen so your
website logo show up i have tried alsort with no luck and i am due to host a
website in the next couple of weeks and i am really stuck with this can anyone
please help me out here the more detail you can provide me with the better.

I think you've misunderstood what the Google search customization does. By
entering your URL you're setting it up so users have a choice of searching
the web or YOUR SITE. It has nothing to do with how your site shows up on a
search results page.

Unless I'm misunderstanding your problem.......
