Hi,

I downloaded the trial verion Dreamweaver and installed it on my windows 2000
professional. Installation is fine. Than I launched it from start menu. But I
only see the icon in the task bar, No any window appears. I click the icon, no
window. I right-click the icon, the popup menu only has two items: Move and
Close.

Anyone can help me? Thanks
By the way, I screen is 800*600. Is it a issue?

i don't think the screen res. has anything to do with it. are you sure you met all of the system requirements. enough RAM and hard drive space? why not uninstall and then reinstall?

The screen resolution will be a factor (the minimum recommended is 1024x768)
in what you see on the screen once you can get it to run, but it would not
affect your ability to launch the program.

So - what other things might it be? Frankly, I'm baffled, and have not seen
this specific set of problems posted here before. It seems the installation
is good, and you see the icon on the task bar. Hmmm....

The lack of a Restore, Minimize, or Maximize option in the context menu
suggests that an error dialog is being displayed but, for some reason it
isn't visible.

Thanks for everyone's post.

I did try to reinstall several times. When I lauched it at the first after
installation, I will see a window to select style Designer or Coder. Nomatter
which one I select, I only get the icon at the bottom. Later, if I lauch it, I
only see the icon, No any window.

I beleive my hardware is fine. It's 1.4G cpu, 512 MB memory, 1.3 GB free space
on that drive.

I find Dreamweaver 3 trial verion. I installed it and it runs well.
