You can publish pages from a dreamweaver trial package. So that is not the
problem. It sounds to me like the problem is with eirther the URL you are
using to view the page or you uploaded the folder to the wrong place.
Did you upload the whole folder or just the pages inside the folder. if you
have a folder in your root (where you upload) then you need to include that
folder in the URL.
www.mysite.com/MyFolder/index.htm

also try .html maybe you saved it as .html and not .htm
