Murray,

I read your offer to help with FTP problems and I hope you can help me.

I have a problem ftp'ing DW MX 2004 to Linux Red Hat 7.3 OS with Apache
1.3.27 web server. When I try to overwrite files on the server on
netingenuity.com, I get this error message:

?FTP: An FTP error occurred. Cannot put process.htm. Access denied. The file
may not exist or there could be a permission problem.?

If I delete the file on the server I can FTP the same file without getting an
error message.
Both accounts are configured in the same way:

What is very odd is that I host two accounts on the same host
(webmasters.com). The problem occurs with only one of the accounts:

netingenuity.com
austinwomenshealth.com

What is very odd is that within netingenuity.com, the error occurs with most
but not all of the files.

On netingenuity.com, it won?t let me over write most files, but there are a
few exceptions. (I haven?t test every file), but eg.
? marketingart-2000/index.htm will overwrite
? kk/index.htm will not overwrite
? kk/house/index.htm will overwrite
? kk/house/pages/ *.htm will not overwrite.

I think the best solution for you would be to contact Macromedia directly
about this. Have you already used both of your support incidents?

Murray,

Thanks for the suggestion that I contact MM directly. I just found a partial
solution on the Macromedia site
(http://www.macromedia.com/support/d...leshooting_ftp.
htm) : I can drag and drop the files, but I can't PUT them.

Interesting - I still think you should contact them. That would be the
fastest and the best way to solve the problem.
