I'm really going to show my system ignorance by asking the following. I
reviewed the system requirements for Dreamweaver MX2004 Trial Version. I then
reviewed my system and this is what I have:

Toshiba Satellite
Celeron(R) 1.80GHZ
240 MB RAM
Win XP Home Edition Vers 2002

I'm probably on a underpowered system correct? Is this why I am encountering
'unexpected end of file' errors when extracting/unzipping the Dreamweaver Trial
Version? Is there anything I can do with this sytem to make it acceptable
(short of buying a new system) or must I continue to put up with MS Frontpage
- ugggh!?

Thanks,

Pat

I think it's unlikely the two are related. After all, the system hasn't
even RUN the zipped program yet. I guess your download is corrupted.

More memory would help you run the program *after* you install it, however.

Not really. It looks like the downloaded file is corrupt. Check the
filesize and the file's integrity. In WinZIP you can run a test with
shift+T, in WinRAR it's alt+T. If the file is corrupt download it again.

You more than meet dreamweavers requirements .

Dreamweaver MX 2004 (2003)
600 MHz Intel Pentium III processor or equivalent (yours is 1800MHz)
Windows 98 SE (4.10.2222 A), Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003
(you have)
128 MB RAM (256 MB recommended) (close enough)
275 MB available disk space ( I assume you have that much memory left ...you
probably have a 40GB hard drive)

I would try to redownload the trial package.

Maybe the download failed or you downloaded the wrong version/type (like MAC)

Matt
