Help! DreamWeaver links not working
|
|
| LuckyCharlie 2004-04-21, 2:38 pm |
| I am working on an Intranet. I have been doing this at home. When I bring the
site in to the office and run from either my hard drive or CD the links to open
WORD and Excel files do not work. I have no problem running from my laptop,
but cannot seem to get it to work from my office computer. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks

Do you have Word or Excel installed on your office computer?
Show me the code for one of these links, please?

| I do have Office installed on my office computer.
Here is the code for one of the links:
<html>
<head>
<title>FormsIndex</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<script language="JavaScript">
<!--
function MM_reloadPage(init) { //reloads the window if Nav4 resized
if (init==true) with (navigator) {if
((appName=="Netscape")&&(parseInt(appVersion)==4)) {
document.MM_pgW=innerWidth; document.MM_pgH=innerHeight;
onresize=MM_reloadPage; }}
else if (innerWidth!=document.MM_pgW || innerHeight!=document.MM_pgH)
location.reload();
}
MM_reloadPage(true);
// -->
</script>
</head>
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" text="#000000" background="Images/Background1.JPG">
<div id="Layer1" style="position:absolute; left:345px; top:23px; width:244px;
height:50px; z-index:1"><img src="Images/FormsIndexLogo.jpg" width="229"
height="36"></div>
<div id="Layer2" style="position:absolute; left:48px; top:103px; width:997px;
height:180px; z-index:2">
<pre><a href="Forms/HPF00068.doc">HPF00068 Administration Employee Skill
Qualification</a> </pre>
<br>
<a
Thanks,
Lucky

| The correct URL will come up in the address, but I get the symbol with the red square, blue triangle and circle.

| I would guess that either:
1. You didn't copy the doc files into the directory
2. There's a Unix server involved and you have an uppercase/lowercase file
name problem
3. The directory Files doesn't exist
4. The directory Files isn't beneath the root directory
5. Mercury is retrograde
6. All of the Above
