I realize MX 2004 on OS X runs a little differently.

I'm having a tough time figuring out CSS.

I have a separate .css file.

It shows up like it always did in older versions.

Problem is when I create a new style. It shows up in the CSS window, but the
code doesn't go into the .css file. It also is nowhere to be found in the
document itself.

Where is it? It shows up in the little CSS window. It works when applied to
text.

But if I preview in a browser, it's not there and no sign of it in the HTML.

maybe what you could do is edit the .css file directly instead of throught your html file. another thing you could do is to check if the path is correctly. =)

If it's not in the page itself, it MUST be in the CSS file. Look again.

Kirk:

I have never seen this happen.

Please start with a new page, and list the steps that cause it to happen
every time for you.

I'm pretty confident this a bug in MX 2004.

When I create a new CSS style via the CSS styles window, it shows up there,
but nowhere else.

If I hit "Ok" after setting the style instead of "Apply" no CSS code shows
up in my page or the CSS page. Hitting "apply" and then "ok" makes it pop
into the CSS page automatically.

Created a new page based on a Template.

In the CSS Styles window hit the +icon at the bottom. Named the style. Set
the attributes. Hit "OK"

Style shows in the CSS Styles window, but not in the CSS page that opens or
in the Code for the current page.

Only will show in the CSS if I hit Apply first then Ok.

Where did you elect to save this style? Which radio button did you select?
