Author Possible Anchor Bug?

Dreamweaver 7.0.1
WinXP
When creating anchors using the insert >>common I can highlight text and
choose anchor. This will successfully create the anchor with text so long as I
do not select the last letter e.g. HTML looks like this :
<p align="left"><strong>HEALTH SCIENCES LIBRARY SYSTEM</strong><br>

If I select eveything up to and including the M in system and choose the
anchor button there is no text in the input box. But if I choose everything up
to E not to include the M in system my anchor box will display what has been
highlighted.

Can someone verify this.

Confirmed. (W2000).

Even if you put an extra space after the M, and select up to (and including)
the M (and not the space) it happens.

Are those valid anchors? You can't have spaces in. (But the same happens if
you shorten the text to just HEALTH, and then select the whole of the word).
