Author 7.0.1 upgrade won't install

I just purchased and installed Studio MX 2004. I installed everything in the
default directories. I have downloaded the 7.0.1 upgrade for Dreamweaver.
When I try to install the upgrade it goes to c:program
Files/macromedia/dreamweaver mx 2004 which is where dreamweaver.exe is located.
I click next and I get an error saying that dreamweaver mx 2004 is not in this
directory. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so how did you
resolve it?

Thanks

You resolve it by noticing that you already have DMX2004 7.0.1 installed
when you first launch your program.

Don't worry. It has caught everyone here....

And MM staffers here have more or less apologised for the confusion it has
caused.

.... and have also documented it posthaste in the DWMX2004 Emerging
Issues technote, so that anyone looking for the 'official' answer to
this question can find it quickly:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/d...s/emerging_issu
es.htm

A good technote to bookmark- it's updated (or at least reviewed for
update) weekly, if not more frequently.

I have exactly the same problem. If I go to Help --> About Dreamweaver it says
the version is 7.0.1, but the message on the introductory screen still says an
upgrade to 7.0.1 is still available. I guess it's running OK, but not sure why
I'm getting the error. I checked the directory, and DW is definitely there b/c
I can boot the program from it.

It's an annoying oversight. Ignore it.

And it's also covered in the DW emerging issues technote:
