I've recently had users of our company intranet complain about Word docs
opening in IE, rather than Word itself.

All the workstations in the company have the same build, so I can easily
create a hyperlink to the executable (c:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\Winword.exe) that will work with all users. Does anyone know of
a command or bit of javascript that would effectively 'open (target document)
with (application address)'? Or know of a way to achieve the same thing?
