| Hello.
I am trying to use DMXReady Photo Gallery. I have downloaded the trial
version, and uploaded all the files onto the server. The installation says to
view the display page at:
http://www.bestbookcovers.com/appli...c_photogallerym
anager.asp
But, it seems that the site will not display any of the .asp links...
I am a beginner with creating webpages, dreamweaver, etc, and was wondering if
there is some simple solution that I might be overlooking (maybe something to
do with the way that I defined the site, or something with the specific type
of ASP)
I am using lunarpages.com as a host. I have an Apache handler.
I have gone over the installation guide several times, and cannot find
anything that I did wrong, but I may be overlooking something obvious.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

There's a question mark against this .asp
Why did you name this asp as such
inc_photogallerymanager.asp
rename to photogallerymanager.asp, and see if that helps.?

| This kind of include ( '../../Connections/photogallerymanager.asp' ) does
not work on your host server:
Try this to test:
Place the connection folder in the folder "PhotoGalleryManager" folder.
Open the page "inc_photogallerymanager.asp" and change the line:
.../../Connections/photogallerymanager.asp
TO
Connections/photogallerymanager.asp'
Hope this helps

Or use include virtual, rather than include file

| How could that make a difference?
The problem seems to be with the include file -
Error Type:
Active Server Pages, ASP 0131 (0x80004005)
The Include file '../../Connections/photogallerymanager.asp' cannot contain
'..' to indicate the parent directory.
/applications/PhotoGalleryManager/inc_photogallerymanager.asp, line 1

Apparently not.
The base Apache Web server package does not include ASP support.

Yep, bestbookcovers.com is hosted on an Apache web server. Anna should stop
trying to run ASP on it or move to IIS.
As Murray would say, "Bada Boom Bada Bing".

| No, I would say Bada bing, bada boom. You are standing on your head....

It's easier to say than "Yabba Dabba Do" (unless you are standing on your
head).

You already spent $70 on the DMX Ready Photo Gallery app. If you really like
it's features, then I recommend moving to IIS. It's pretty easy to move your
sites around, so don't feel locked in to what your host provides. If your
host doesn't provide what you want, just move to another one.

It's a short-hand colloquialism for indicating process steps that naturally
follow. It sprang from the Italian-American community. If you were a big fan
of The Sapranos, you would know.
1) it just simply happens next, 2) one thing just leads to another, 3) it
happens as easy as that, 4) the next thing you know, 5) its as simple as
that
ex:
'I was out with my boys when these broads rolled up...we started giving them
the line...bada bing bada boom...they were in our car!'
'Come on. We won't be long. We just pick it up, have a quick lunch, bond a
few, and badabing badaboom, we'll be back in no time.'
