Problem with meta tags in templates

| I'm using templates for the first time and making the keyword and description
meta tags editiable so we can modify them for each page.
I see the resulting page includes the content twice, once in the tag that is
generated for the page and once in a comment.
We know some search engines look at putting keywords in a comment as a form of
spam.
Anyone seen a problem from this?
