Author Dreamweaver changes 'php' code when uploading...

Hi, I'm attempting to upload a page with 'php' code to a client's server (to
get a simple form working) - but according to the provider of the code,
Dreamweaver isn't 'smart' enough to handle the code, and in fact changes the
code when it uploads the page... or even before the uploading occurs when
saving the page...
According to the script vendor - the code must be placed b4 anything else that
DMW creates - that is before the opening html tag...
This isn't apparently a DMW specific problem - the software vendor indicates
that many WYSIWYG editors don't accept code from outside sources...
Is there a workaround within DMW that any1 is aware of? And is Macromedia
aware of the issue...
thanks,

Sounds as though the software vendor doesn't know what he's talking about.
Dreamweaver puts a large chunk of its own PHP code before the opening HTML
tag. I've also been creating PHP pages in DW for a couple of years, writing
my own code, and DW accepts it without complaint.
