| Hey All,
Anyone know if Dreamweaver MX 2004 has the ability to 'chmod' files and
directories on a webserver? If so, how do I do this? If this is not possible
from Dreamweaver, does anyone know why this ability was not included?
Thanks

It is possible, but you need to install an extension first:

| Did they redo the FTP engine in 7.1?
that extension won't go into 7.0, there's no ftp command line either.
I'd say grab some other FTP client to use for CHMOD.
There's plenty of free or shareware ones, hunt at tucows.com or whatever
download place you like.

| The API call was removed in 7.0, is it now restored?

Dont' know, haven't dug into the extension, but if the extension wouldnt' work in 7.0 (which I don't know as I haven't tried it), then I would assume that there is a reason the extension requires 7.0.1.
